About Guide Jerry Frye:Owner and operator, Jerry Frye is a Sacramento River fishing guide and a northern California native. Living so near the mountains, rivers, and lakes provides the opportunity to fish and hunt extensively throughout this richly abundant area. Jerry's youth was filled with a range of outdoor activities, from backpacking and hunting to basketball and baseball. But it was fishing that captured his heart. He quickly realized that he had a natural talent for catching fish and loved nothing more than sharing his skills and knowledge with others. In 2000, he decided to start his own guide business part-time, offering his services to those who shared his passion for fishing. Over the years, he honed his skills, and in 2012, he retired from his day job to become a full-time guide. Now, he takes visitors on fishing trips along the Sacramento and Trinity Rivers, where they can target some of the region's most prized fish, including King salmon, Pacific steelhead, Pacific stripers, and Tailwater Trophy Rainbow trout.
