About Guide Jerry Frye:Owner and operator, Jerry Frye is a Sacramento River fishing guide and a northern California native. Living so near the mountains, rivers, and lakes provides the opportunity to fish and hunt extensively throughout this richly abundant area. Jerry's youth was filled with a range of outdoor activities, from backpacking and hunting to basketball and baseball. But it was fishing that captured his heart. He quickly realized that he had a natural talent for catching fish and loved nothing more than sharing his skills and knowledge with others. In 2000, he decided to start his own guide business part-time, offering his services to those who shared his passion for fishing. Over the years, he honed his skills, and in 2012, he retired from his day job to become a full-time guide.
