Redding California is the hub of all things ‘Northern California’. People who travel here on business often find themselves looking for an activity or something to do on a day-off. Sometimes one will have a morning or and afternoon free and so begins the search for something Redding has to offer.
With a giant river running through the middle of town, the opportunity to view wildlife, catch fish or cool off on a warm summer day is immediately accessible. The very best way to enjoy the Sacramento River is by boat. Frye’s Fishing offers boat tours for those who would enjoy a river view of the Sun Dial Bridge, or witness wild King Salmon spawning in the Autumn months. Deer, eagles and all sorts of riparian wildlife abound along the river in the city limits and more so south of Redding through Red Bluff.
Of course we offer fishing experiences! We encourage you to enjoy a day of fishing the Sacramento for Salmon (seasonal) or catch-release wild Rainbow Trout! And if fishing isn’t your thing, that’s perfectly okay with us. Let’s go tour the river, bring a camera and spot birds, enjoy the expansive beauty of the river.
Let’s go check it out!
