About Guide Jerry Frye:

Owner and operator, Jerry Frye is a Sacramento River fishing guide and a northern California native. Living so near the mountains, rivers, and lakes provides the opportunity to fish and hunt extensively throughout this richly abundant area.

Jerry's youth was filled with a range of outdoor activities, from backpacking and hunting to basketball and baseball. But it was fishing that captured his heart. He quickly realized that he had a natural talent for catching fish and loved nothing more than sharing his skills and knowledge with others.

In 2000, he decided to start his own guide business part-time, offering his services to those who shared his passion for fishing. Over the years, he honed his skills, and in 2012, he retired from his day job to become a full-time guide. Now, he takes visitors on fishing trips along the Sacramento and Trinity Rivers, where they can target some of the region's most prized fish, including King salmon, Pacific steelhead, Pacific stripers, and Tailwater Trophy Rainbow trout.

This remarkable vessel is equipped with a powerful 150 hp Honda engine capable of carrying up to 10 people at once. In addition to his motorboat, Jerry also owns a 17ft FishCraft drift boat with a Mercury engine of 15 hp. This sleek vessel is designed for fishing expeditions and features plenty of rod holders and other amenities to make every trip successful. Its low draft allows anglers to get into tight spots where larger boats can't go so they don't miss out on any of the action.
