King Salmon are starting to show in the upper sections of the Sacramento near Anderson, Redbluff. I’m just had a great August and I’m expecting more good fishing in the coming weeks. Right now is a good time to come out, catch a limit.
These Kings are hard fighting and fresh. Excellent table fare. The filets are tasty.
I’m finding this year the fish are moving up into the colder sections of the Sacramento River fast. Possibly because the lower river is warmer. I expect this run to move quickly into the hatchery and other fish will migrate above Deschutes Bridge to set up redds by October.
Anyway, the Kings this year are awesome and the fishing has been great!

Camera to capture eagles, and various
Wildlife on the river.
Don’t forget a fishing License and Salmon Card.
